The warcraft 3 community has disappointed me

How would that be “removing the campaign”? In what way adding is removing? Even now, there will be two campaigns - but the new one not as good as it could have been.

Probably won’t. With Sean Copeland in charge of the lore NOTHING is safe. We need Metzen back.

That statement on its own is absurd.
First of all, MMORPGs are much worse at telling stories than RTS, or regular RPGs.
Second, WoW events happen post WC3 events. Perhaps there are some missions allowing you to re-live the events form WC3 in a WoW way… I don’t know… But it’s still not the same.
Third, WoW costs 15$ per month, while WC Reforged costs 30$ it’s a get and forget thing, while WoW is an ongoing investment, which is much more expensive in the long term.
Fourth, RTS and MMORPG are completely different experiences. If somebody is enjoying an RTS game doesn’t mean they will be enjoying an MMORPG.

Metzen who gave us the Night Elves in the Alliance, crazy Illidan in TBC and dead Arthas but always-needed-LK in WotLK?

Metzen killed Warcraft. Metzen’s WoW was the lowest point of all Warcraft lore. It only started recovering in Cata/MoP.

You say “recovering,” I say “getting worse.”

Then you have not watched Pyromancer.

Who’s Pyromancer?

DuckDuckGo him, and you will see how modern WoW is a deep philosophical canvas KappaRoss

…This sounds like a trap.

No thanks.

This sounds like an interesting YouTuber. Like seriously…

What do you mean Metzen killed WarCraft? He is practically the creator of the story of WarCraft and has guided it from its infancy, through the RTSes, and a huge portion of WoW’s current lifespan. Yeah, not every lore decisions while he was in charge was necessarily good, but all the stuff people originally liked about WarCraft he helped create. Without him we wouldn’t really have the WarCraft universe that people grew to love over the years.

Yes, he created it, and killed it. Or he failed to transform the story into the MMO. Only now it has become such. But TBC and WotLK were a waste.

Because an MMO is a piss poor vehicle for storytelling on that level.

Saw some WC4-believers, but if we stop and think sometime, we’ll see that blizzard aren’t gonna made WC4, cause that act will ruin their golden cow - WoW. You can’t deny that WoW is one of the biggest moneysources for blizzard, so if they ever will make WC4 - it will be linked with WoW story, otherwise whole WoW community will make greatest crapstorm you ever seen.

So potential WC4 is not correct argument against changes in Warcraft 3 Reforged, cause that’s just dreams IMHO.

Been playing since wc2. I just got my refund from Reforged. We needed an infusion of new players into this game…not the same 200 try hards that have been playing for the past 10 years. Ah well way to ruin sht guys…it’s not just the “new” or the “wow” players who wanted the changes…we’ll never see Wc4 the least you guys could have done was get some new folks playing with some decent changes. Hell half of you try-hard asholes are going to play in classic mode anyway.

Warcraft IV is a pipedream. The RTS genre in general is pretty much dead and they aren’t going to advance the continuity of Warcraft elsewhere other than WoW.

The only plausible way Warcraft IV works is if it takes place in an alternate continuity after TFT that ignores the events of WoW. That is unlikely of course.

I just want to point out that if Blizzard had communicated about these cut plans earlier instead of just having radio silence for a year, maybe things would have turned out differently. We might have gotten a better campaign.

I’d prefer an offline single-player Skyrim-type RPG as a new non-WoW Warcraft title, but Blizzard’s not capable of that.

Please
Focus in GAMEPLAY and GRAPHICS, BOTH are the most important thing

The story can be in wc4.

Guild Wars 2 and FF14 have been pretty alright with it.
