Did Blizzard seriously think nobody would notice no single player custom games would go unnoticed?
The -LAST- thing I want to do when I get home from work is try and play a multiplayer game against someone who’ll either talk smack the entire time or cut out in the middle if I am winning.
Blizzard - You have this functionality in Starcraft, when will we see it in Warcraft III?

You can create a private game the same way you create a public game. Still need to go online for it though.
The crappy part there is you have to create a game to see the map.
You can create an Offline Custom Game…but you can’t Pause, Save or Load. They just copied the online Custom Game framework.

I have been stuck with 2 problems with WC3 right now:
Online ‘error handling the request’- unable to play online. Can play offline.
Was able to connect online. Could not play singleplayer offline
When one happens I can’t play the other. Play classic offline or online on PTR I have found many online games and can also play single player offline.
So you will still need to be online for this to work, but if you want to be able to do a private skirmish against the comp and be able to load/save you have to use the map editor and run test map. Open the map you want, there are tabs for custom and blizz maps. There are tabs along the top of the main editor window, one of them has player properties where you can adjust which races to use and # of players etc.
Yea its a really stupid way to go about it, but once its set up and you run it all you have to do is save once the map starts up. After that give it a good name and you can load that exact map to play the computer whenever you want from the campaign load screen.
No custom campaigns either
