The Grom Hellscream problem

OP, you’re way overthinking this. And you’re coming off as a bit of a douche in the process. Quit while you’re ahead.

If this really bothers you that much you need to get some new priorities.

He just has to realize that all the “fantasy” is really a mix of the elements that were “fantasy” before…
if you want to have fun you turn them into a game, if you want money and abuse people you turn it into a religion, but the core is the same^^

I’m not insulting anyone. Look at your message and see who it applies to.

Maybe not intentionally, but don’t be surprised when religious people take umbrage with your refusal to accept that fantasy worlds can share names for their underworld with the names for the underworlds “IRL.” For some people that alone is insulting.

For frak sake it’s all fantasy until proven otherwise anyway.

true… … …

(Ensign Harry Kim) “This is not reality. It’s an illusion.”

(Clown) “When your only reality is an illusion, then illusion is a reality.”

Hey whas this in the episode where the fear managed to manifestate in the VR?

But does that religion include hell?

Probably. It’s an extremely common concept in many different religions.

Even if it does, why would they name it hell?

“Hell” would be the translation for English-speaking audiences. The Orcs have their own language and would have their own word for the concept of hell.

They seem to have started to equate it with the Twisting Nether in recent years, but “hell” is still a common explative (along with “fel”) and the name “Grom TwistingNetherScream” just doesn’t have the same ring to it. So yeah.

Though after finding out by accident, that Ratchet actually means something and is not just a fantasyword I think we make us way more thoughts about this topic then blizzard did. They are no Tolkien and seem not to really thought about this whole language thing but went more along with the Rule of Cool. I mean there whas still a mess with the lore during the work on WoW so I think they see lore more as an excuse to build fantastic stories but not really mingling with small details.

Except Hel comes from the word Hel daughter of loki which is norse… so… dumb people going to dumb.

That’s a different subject, irrelevant for this. Also, it’s ridiculous to insult people if they don’t know something. Don’t even try to justify it. Goodbye.
