With the horrible start and now abandonment of Reforge. Back in Beta there was talk about Warcraft 4, the possible RTS from the WoW Expansions. Doubt after the making and maintaining of Reforge, Will Warcraft 4 ever happen?

warcraft 4 would likely ignore world of warcraft, at least that is what i read.

we could just aply for blizzard jobs and say we want to support WC3 and Sc/Sc2 through community effort, it would be hillarious if it works out but I have my doubts.

If I got the skill I would not going to extent the WC3 universe, I will be burying it
I believe it’s safe to say that Blizzard will never make another RTS. Every big name development lead interested in doing so has left the company. Warcraft will continue to get spin-offs into other genres along the lines of HearthStone and years from now Starcraft might get a similar tie-in or two.
As for Warcraft III Reforged, they said when they released the last balance patch in April that there would still be ladder leagues, leaderboards, and profiles added but that was the last we heard of it. Supposedly the work was handed off to an external studio. But with it having been almost two years since release and seven months since any official statement.

Yeah some guy remade portions of Warcraft III experience in LibGDX engine and uploaded full source code online so you can compile it yourself and make your own patches if you like. Here’s a gameplay video (note that it’s not a video of Warcraft III, don’t be fooled);
So if you like what you see in that video, obviously it’s unfinished and what you see is what you get but you could probably start from there and make your own game.

my guess is that they do not care about the starcraft series, while they do care about the warcraft series. the warcraft series have more than twice as many games as the starcraft series.
More reason to put the W3 for free and to act as a gateway to the Wacraft series.
I wish WC3 lore was still relevant in nu-WoW lol. Unless you meant Warcraft 1 and 2, in which case, Starcraft 1 is ironically better for that because WC1/2 play closer to SC1 than WC3 plays to WC1/2.
The last expansion is about Vash, Kaltas, Uther and it seems that the grand finale is Arthas.
Pjs that come out basically only in W3 and WoW are little more than a raid boss.
Not counting of course all the Conflict of Tyrande vs Sylvanas. And Thrall and Jaina. AUnque clear. Sylvanas, Thrall and Jaina are characters who do have history in WoW.
