I don’t know where you’re getting this. I won’t say it’s flawless but you’re making it sound way, way worse than it actually is. You have to really stare at the animations to even notice this.
in all honesty, i think the community and magazines are underreacting.
the outsourced malaysian studio (actualls thats not a joke, they outsourced the development to a malaysia studio, google it up yikes) should be fired and the lead designers should loose their jobs.
thats the only reasonable business decision there is and people should point that out instead of whiteknighting.

No, no it’s not.
You can no longer run custom campaigns as far as I can see.
You can no longer see map previews on custom maps.
I can no longer patch my War3 Classic, it keeps wanting to “upgrade” me to War3 Reforged and I don’t want it.
I reinstalled from CD because I want THAT version, and battle.net keeps wanting to push this garbage down my throat.
This is absolute garbage.

To the OP: please snap out of the “Blizzard love” already, don’t you see what’s in front of you? This game was the fastest refund I ever had and I pre-ordered a day before release.

You go on ahead and support the rich getting richer off the backs of the poor but back in the day blizzard took a long time to release a game, it was annoying but the final product was worth it!

The only good thing about WCIII:Reforged is the Graphical improvements. Everything else is just regular WCIII. There is nothing “Reforged” about it, it would have been better off being called what it is. “Warcraft III: HD Texture Pack”
I payed 30€ for this which would easily get me 6 lunches in germany.

Sorry op, no amount of fanboyism is gonna convince anyone in the war3 community. We have been playing this game since 2003 some of us. We love this game and hold it to a very high standard.
There’s no comparison - metzen and samwise are superior artists and the original team did a better job bringing those ideas to life in game.

All graphics settings to high? There are hardly any graphics settings. The original I think had more.
Adam, no offense but you are part of the problem, you’re heart is in the right place for wanting people to play the IP. But… I played the DEMO at blizzcon myself, and I can tell you what they released is not what they even had as a playable DEMO. What a joke!

That is just unbelievable to me. How did they manage to have a release version worse than the blizzcon demo!
The anti-aliasing seems really bad with all setting high even on a threadripper + geforce 1080.
Screw that, they took out lines, they somehow made it look WORSE, no LAN, screwed up custom games, etc
“Reforged” without new rendered cinematics? I dont mean the old ones were bad, for that time they were overhaull. But not in freaking 2020. They are ven lazy to do that. Its only reskin, so refund was the only option from this agony.

When is the last time you have checked you vision? There’s nothing good about Reforged. “Get a good CPU and monitor” Game missing some resolutions such as 3440x1440 what the point of good monitor if it’s not officially supported
