I was just wondering if we are going to get any news about the game’s state? We only received a few pics from China Joy but since the announcement nothing has been revealed and as I see the community gets more desperate and nervous about pre-ordering the game (not me haha if needed I would wait more just to see my first ever game reimagined).

the game has been in coming SOON™ state since Nov of last year.
We just entered September and besides those pictures we haven’t gotten anything else, the game is going to come out this year, so we won’t have to wait much longer, but I really wish we had more news and reveals. I’m starting to get nervous that the game will just come out, and it will be too late for players to give feedback.
A beta with a direct form of feedback would be extremely good. But it feels to me that we might not get that too.
I’ll bet they ran into quite a few technical issues that slowed them down. TTT (tech takes time)
Blizzard have been absolute garbage with Reforged news.
In almost ONE WHOLE YEAR all we got was some night elf models that were retracted in 30 seconds.
And THANK GOD for those heroic Chinese leakers or we wouldn’t even have KNOWN about the Tyrande and Thrall models that turned up at some event there but SOMEHOW never got shown to the rest of us.
I’m sure the Reforged team have been working hard on the game (maybe they have been, hard to know for sure since they never talk about it). But, the complete lack of updates and news on progress outside of balance patches for current WC3 is horrific.
We’re two months until the next Blizzcon.
We had to wait an entire year for the next substantial showing?
Do us a favour Blizz. Next time, just finish a whole remaster and THEN announce it. Save our time.
Fully admit, I’m mildly mad about it. Just sick of it. Let’s just hope the actual release date is BEFORE Blizzcon.

To be fair i pre ordered this out of good faith that blizzard historically doesnt pull the crap that alot of the vapr ware peddlers on steam pull however it would be nice if we could get some developer news instead of the carrot dangled in front of us like the folks who have been making star citizen for the last 12 years and have produced nothing

The bit at the bottom of the Blizz launcher says it’s supposed to release by the end of the year. Which is coming up fairly quickly now…
Honestly, if it’s out before BlizzCon, I will be surprised.
I think there will be a “beta test” for blizzcon ticket holders to play some of the orc campaigns and 1v1 vs ai matches, similar to what they did for classic wow then release it some time in December before Christmas.
They can’t they are obligated to give some release by 2nd November

Delays are perfectly fine as long as the final product is polished. What isn’t fine is the complete lack of communication and any sorts of reveals. It’s been almost an entire year since Blizzcon and we got absolute f@ck all for news, screenshots, artwork or anything of substance. The sheer secrecy around this project is mind boggling.
So many other developers talk to their community and engage with them whereas Blizzard is stuck in this mindset that any form of communication is bad. Seriously, where are the dev posts and reveals into their current work? Even if it’s not a final product it would be nice to see how far along the game has gotten.
LucielaWitch really nails on those points. Blizzard sucks at communicating because they don’t even bother with it.
Its like that on literally every single blizzard forum. The only time I seen dev activity recently was due to a bug crisis that reset everyone’s mmr. The only time they appear is when bad stuff hits the fan lol.
Eh. It’s the Blizzard way. People seem to forget that it used to take Blizzards year to make a game (In some cases even over a decade.) People just need to stay patient and find something to bide their time in. Like I’m truly excited for this game, but I have done things to keep myself from getting hyped. Because otherwise you will just be disappointed all the time because of no news and overhype it for yourself.
