So everyone will have to load up the game via Reforged, or can people play from the old launcher and then the player pool is shared?
I like the old Warcraft 3 version better then reforged personally.
You’ll have to play with the reforged client with classic graphics enabled.

Few months ago ive watched about 1000 replays from TFT on NetEasy. This is chinese version of BattleNet and its absolute free. U must only create an account(find tutorial with screenshoots, when to clicks) or u can log in via Battlenet acoount and play this game for free.
Just type in Google “warcraft 3 neteasy”. On first page u have all.

Yeah, pirating is an option but it’s a huge shame i was able to play battle.net for the past year during the preorder phase and now the classic game has been deleted.

Yes it is. Totally possible.
I’m not saying I do, but there are software that exists out there called a gateway editor. Not to mention I think ICCUP is running a DOTA version of warcraft 3 (that will still play custom maps).
F*** you. Not everyone wants to be restricted to singleplayer. Dont make it sound like torrents is a reasonable solution. We want to play the orginal wc3 just like we did before, online on our favorite maps, and just generally not be treated like crap for being loyal longterm fans.

Did you know that there are private servers which host WarCraft 3 maps like Eurobattle? You can also use Gameranger to connect to other people and play. I know it’s not the same thing, but it’s as close as we can get.

You can still play the game with the old client. Simply install the game from the original media or an archived copy of the installation files you downloaded from Blizzard.
If you were careless with your CD keys, you can log into your Blizzard account and look them up. Make sure to write down (or type) the codes in a safe place. You can then use those codes during the Install process.
You can even apply updates to that installation up to 1.29.
Now, since BattleNet is deprecated for these earlier versions of WC3, you are going to be restricted to LAN play if you want to play games with friends. In the past, and maybe again in the near future, there are ways of configuring WC3 such that you can play the game online using an alternative matchmaking server. For example, a lot of players used W3Arena or NetEase to play ladder matches.
If you do a Google or YouTube Search for How To you will find a lot of information regarding these set up going back many years.

Why would anyone pirate WC3? … seriously. One of the greatest games out there and you choose to pirate it?
Just buy an official disc and patch it to a more recent version (preferably 1.26/1.27a/b) and voila. You’ve got a completely functional game that doesn’t come with the 30GB luggage from Blizz.

The PTR client still has online functionality and looks identical to the original launcher, use that instead!
So Blizzard doesn’t get money they don’t deserve.
So how long before old PTR is replaced with latest reforged beta patch?
