Hey!
I can’t change resolution in-game, in 1.29 worked, after coming 1.30 and make bad game, anyone can give help me?
We’re all with that same problem. I use a 5:4 monitor and can’t even go beyond 1024x768 after the patch.
for me it is locked at 1080p so it is not a serious problem. the reason they locked it is because it no longer works properly. changing resolution ingame crashes the game. think you can change it from the registry though.
-nativefullscr on icon target should work for you, at least if you’re on a Windows desktop. Right click on the shortcut and put it with a space after the last " in properties. So it’d look like this: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III\Warcraft III.exe” -nativefullscr
I have this issue as well but this only applies to the menus. In-game the screen always is covered completely which is something at least.
i used that command line argument but, when i changed resolution, the game crashed my gpu.
Not having much luck here either way…
It wants to default to 1024x768x32 and yet it’s much higher resolution than that – I’m on an AMD Vega GPU and a 4K monitor and it looks like I’m getting 2880x2160 even though it says 1024x768! It’s great, but I’d like to fill my full screen instead of a 4:3 game screen with blank space on both sides.
Using the -nativefullscr argument it defaults to 1024x768 again, but looks like that’s really the resolution and then stretched horizontally to fill the screen, yuck. Picking other resolutions doesn’t seem to help, they’re either stretched or not displayed properly or in the case of anything higher than 1920x1080 just crash the GPU where I have to alt-f4 out of the game and try again.
I have not tried this latest update on my Mac, but will do so tomorrow and see if its afflicted too. It had been working just fine.
OK, I had to post that… Now I took the -nativefullscr argument out of the command line and when I run the game now, all the menu screens are indeed 2880x2160 and I’m getting full 3840x2160 in game and it’s running great! …The video menu still insists it’s running (and locked) at 1024x768. Anyway all working here now.
-nativefullscr does not work here.
I mean when I add the option I regain control of the resolution but no settings will make it right.
