Request for a refund

Has anyone had experience requesting a refund after having used a product for “too long”?
If I had known they were going to cause such a disaster with the save files, I would have requested a refund sooner—but I never imagined they could be *so* incompetent. Now that they’ve demonstrated their utter incompetence in developing and maintaining products, I want to request a refund. I think that’s a valid reason.

You have to go through support for any such requests, posting here will get you nowhere.

Blizzard has pretty clear terms and conditions for giving refunds. The original launch of Reforged has really been the only exception, where they set up a special path for the refunds because of how badly it went.

There has to be a time limit on refunds because otherwise it can be exploited to fully play a game and then refund it, even if you were satisfied.

Support Article: How to Request a Refund

I explicitly stated “having used it for too long.” A direct refund isn’t possible because they broke my game after I had already used it for “too long,” so they’re telling me I’m not eligible for a refund. I wanted to know if anyone has experience requesting one in a different way, since the response I got to the support ticket I submitted was that I had used the product for “too long.”

I successfully charged all Blizzard products back from at least 6 months including WoW Forever so I would go that route.

You are free to issue chargebacks, but they may lock your account until you repay them, so it really is the nuclear option.
