I had reforged gifted to me and I’m permanently locked into classic graphics instead of reforged as it currently displays in red “Reforged mode unavailable. Requires Warcraft 3 Reforged”. Anyone else have this issue or have a solution to fixing this?

Out of interest, what is your system hardware? Like GPU, CPU, RAM etc?
I have seen a lot of people being locked into classic graphics because their system is physically incapable of running the Reforged graphics. For example they are using a low end 10 year old GPU which runs WC3 classic fine but clearly lacks the graphic memory and computational power for the Reforged graphics to be playable.

i can run battlefield in ultra maxed out settings on 80fps+
if i play reforged i get 20 fps, optimization and performance in this game is horrible garbage.
on classic graphics my fps are fine but lag spikes, black screens, disconnects and stutter menus make this product unplayable.
This is not blizzard quality, this is not even indie dev quality, this feels like some sort of “mod” by a student in his moms basement.
thats a strange error message, almost sounds like they are merging the classic and reforged clients into one and that error message is displayed if one has not purchased reforged (which in your case would be a bug)
mabye you should post this into the bug report forum
it’s already confirmed that there will be just reforged client.

You should also mention your gpu because it’s the most important part to run wc3 with reforged graphics…
And your GPU?
I think Reforged wants at least 2GB of video memory. I personally would not recommend less than 4 GB in this day and age.

Hey Dr Super Good, haha as I wrote comment already, since last patch I can open damned World Editor now! But still with classic models like those people. I also have disabled/grayed out option to activate reforged graphic. But hey, WE at least got fixed.
