Open the launcher, go to “Settings”, “General”, “WHEN I LAUNCH A GAME”, choose “Exit Battle.net completely” and apply the change by clicking on “Done”.

How much CPU usage does this save? Like seconds of CPU time per hour on a reasonably modern processor?
You get around 1-3%… Depends on your CPU… It’s not going to make or break anything.
I read that the launcher doesn’t work properly for some people and that closing it could help. Even if you don’t experience a huge difference, running the game without the launcher won’t give you any disadvantage.
