Rebind items?

Can I rebind using top two items in inventory (Num-7 and Num-8) to side mouse buttons? NOT Reforged, if that matters.

There are some 3rd party programmes which allow you to do that (I don’t know their names though).

He was talking about rebinding the numpad, which is afaik not possible from within the game. Besides, qwer is king and Blizz ****ed it up with their ingame grid settings, did any of them ever play the game? It needs to be qwer, not zxcv. Christs sake!

Ok I did you the favour of reading it

Since WC3 is a bit older, some of the Hotkeys were ignored and left out from Customkeys so you have to use something like AutoHotkey for Inventory Items

As I mentioned, you need a 3rd party programme. That is my point and nothing else.

I was ranting about Blizzards default “grid” hotkey settings, which are useless because it’s zxcv. They didn’t even bother to make a reverse-grid. I’m using custom qwer settings myself, possibly from even your very same guide.

While that is true, Starcraft has it for years already I heard, and I can’t use many 3rd party programmes because I’m running Linux. So I need to use numpad. It sucks.

ToD is extremely pissed and created a collaborative balance change suggestion attempt. I predict that Blizz won’t give a damn, but what happens beyond that I don’t know. From my limited experience Grubby used to be a big Blizz shill, but lately he said that w3champions saved WC3 for him, that he got “unplugged from the Matrix”, he made an appeal on his stream to post in a thread about ping here, which is why I found these forums.

Last patch was pretty pathetic considering it had been announced for two weeks or what. When would the next big patch be released, with stuff like garg and priest AI/logic changes? It’s not looking good man.

Did you mean: it’s your choice to play a game released in 2020 which retained 2003 hotkey coding limitations and needs 3rd party programmes to fix it?

Well it’s cheaper for Blizz. I only returned recently and I’m only playing on bnet so far because I’m rusty as hell. I keep asking people if they know w3c and like half of them don’t.

Sorry mate, but buying new hardware for a shoddily coded game is not an option for me.

Maybe for an American. I have researched the matter and it looks like I’ll have to write a script which rebinds my numpad while wc3 is running. Certainly doable but man, certainly not something I’d need to do in 2020.

I can do without your suggestions and comments, thanks though.

Yeah I’m here to criticise Blizzard and I’m very angry (downloaded Reforged less than a month ago). Anyone pretending that **** isn’t ****ed makes me more angry.
