Question regarding streaming!

Why nobody is streaming in reforged graphics?!
It will attract new players and still nobody is doing that.
Why?

Rhetorical question.

Thank you, very helpful answer

because the current community hates it. It’s hard to tell what’s going on and its hard to play with. spell animations are completely different and in mirror matchups its hard to tell which unit is which.

Quite frankly i wish people would just give up with reforged graphics and play with classic. Maybe then the developers would give up on the art and focus on actual content that this game is desperately nees

To repeat the answers from other topics…

  • The high quality visuals make playing more difficult. If you stream seriously you generally want to min-max your performance. This usually means selecting lower visual settings as objects can be recognized more easily.
  • The higher quality visuals decreases frame rate and frame time consistency. When streaming one wants good both for best viewer experience. Even if it matters less for Warcraft III, it still helps with play since movement is smoother.
  • Reforged graphics is less stable and more desync prone. Last thing you want is your game crashing or disconnecting when streaming.

well i upload and stream in new graphics, but im not known either so…

Well… I didn’t buy reforged to see old graphics, it is exactly to see how new and modern units would look, see what I’ve missed (concept-wise at least) with WoW that I dont play. And I would rather all converted to new look. Otherwise why buy reforged?

But if they cant fix it to work with new models or new vs old models… then it’s all for naught.

Have they tested enough? You know put some boxes as new models let the boxes fight, see if they will desync before all the effort and outsourcing to make these new great models?

Playing on new graphics and I dont mind things like (I cant see what is this new unit) -like we havent seen that in SC2 with skins, so that was the whole purpose of getting back to war3 and reforged for me.

I love the new graphics and kind of hate that streamers are using the old ones.

To answer the question: Nostalgia.
