Does anyone know if Blizzard, has any idea what ratio people are playing “competitive” vs custom maps.
And what ratio is new players, vs the same players, playing over and over.
Because I’d argue, that you’d want to have a reasonable split between features for those who play a lot vs those who play maybe an hour a week to and a hour a day. That segment is probably 70% of all players. And I’d imagine the segment that plays all day, is about 70% of all games.
The reason I ask, is because I feel like a lot of the features in talks, are features very very few people get anything out of.
And by all means. Get clans and such done. But I am curious, if there is even the slightest of thought put into, the types of features people actually want/need.
If everyone is just playing custom maps - then I’d argue, improving the world editor: Such as allowing us to use all the different types of tiles in one map, might be more interesting, than a balance change in competitive.
