Quality of life improvements for Reforged

I’m not sure how many previous posts there are out there like this one so if i’m stepping on anyone’s toes i apologize. I also want to say that i’m not a pro or even an expert player. But there are some things i found rather clunky about the game back in the day and when i’m trying to get back into it now. If they would make improvements in a few of these areas i believe it would attract more people to the game and make the community better. Could be wrong and would like to know what you guys think.

I want to talk about quality of life improvements that might be helpful for reforged. Firstly, I find the hotkey system to be incredibly cumbersome. Having the correct group of units selected in the heat of battle can be difficult but then having to select the correct hotkey for that unit is just a lot to handle while my army is being murdered. I would like two types of hotkey system which a player can choose in options. First would be classic hotkeys which is exactly the way it is now, second would be a simplified hotkey system for all units similar to LOL. The first skill in slot would be q, second in slow w, third e, fourth r. Doesn’t have to be those keys but you get the point. This would free up my mind to complete other tasks instead of hunting for the correct key for purge, then tabbing through for shadow hunter heal and hex, then tabbing through again for ensnare, while trying to kite away army from cc or heavy damage foes.

Next thing is that i still believe that the screen is really zoomed in. Maybe this makes it easier for latency especially for updated graphics, but i’m still having a hard time seeing everything in a battle when the screen doesn’t allow me to get a broader view of the happenings. I’m on the most zoomed out view and i still feel like i can’t get the full scope.

Bigger group selections. I know that this one has been hotly debated so i’ll keep it short. I still think the limited group selection makes it harder to play races like undead and NE.

A tech tree page which you can bring up and dismiss by a hotkey bind, you can see which techs you have upgraded, are upgrading, and haven’t been upgraded. You should be able to upgrade from this page at a click and that upgrade will be processed by the oldest iteration of building that needs to research it.

A button on the side of the page alongside the heroes and idle workers button which you can see your ctrl groups, select ctrl groups, and how many is under the that ctrl group. This is probably very minor and unnecessary based on what is done with the number unit grouping decision.

That’s all i have for the moment and i’m sure that some of this is rehashed.

I agree with all your points, I seriously hope they implement at least some of these.
