Hi guys. Here is an unedited video review/reaction of the new Patch 1.33 PTR by Retera who developed the Retera Model Studio tool for modding:
Summary:
- The internal game database subsystems that handle ability requirements and tooltips are still fundamentally broken in edge cases that even affect melee games, which were not broken until Patch 1.32 - and probably were broken by the “Ability Skin” subsystem in the game, which is both unused (as far as I can tell?) and terrible for engine stability because of the bugs that it causes.
Retera’s personal opinion: Please either use the AbilitySkin to profit off of us so that it feels like at least there was a purpose for breaking the engine fundamentals, or else remove the AbilitySkin subsystem so that ability tooltips and requirements work again.
