So I pre-ordered this game just after the day it came out because they said there will be a closed beta in april and I was hoping that way maybe I’d have a bigger chance to get into the closed beta. So now after getting nothing I was wondering if they’ll give us something for pre-ordering (like some special skins or something).

there are some skins for preordering the spoils of war edition, but yeah, I think we’re owed extra skins for not having the early beta as we were promised, that’s actually something worth raising your pitchforks for.

I first thought that I should wait, because maybe they will sell a boxed CD with posters and stuff, but joining beta early 2019 was a bigger motivation…

A correction - it has nothing to do with pre-ordering. Sadly, Reforged has no pre-order bonuses specified.
Why aren’t anti-Blizzard shills commending them here? They’re constantly badmouthing pre-ordering, although Blizzard don’t even give a reason to do it!
Me, i’m personally glad there’s no preorder bonuses, just like cyberdonk 2077 doesn’t have any. Me’s happy.

the beta is called Classic WC3 and you get access to it from the moment you preordered reforged

No, we were told there be would a closed beta to test out the undead faction in reforged. It was supposed to come out in april of this year.

False, there was no promise of a beta. We were told that they were hoping for such, that implies that there is no guarantee.

I don’t like those types of responses. “We are hoping to release a beta” doesn’t work for me, if you mention that you are going to do it, otherwise it’s just false advertising and my faith in your company will decrease greatly if it’s not going to happen.

I know how you feel. I certainly was disappointed but with that usage of words they basically gave themselves an automatic out if they decided they didn’t have enough stuff cobbled together for a beta.
And with the amount of work being done, it’s obvious a lot rides on this game’s success. I can see why they’d not do a beta if they aren’t able to do it in a way that makes people even more hyped.
At this point though, with the controversy going on about Blizzard, I have my reservations about them doing a beta even if they could. Treading on thin ice and all that.

Well, they need to deliver good news at blizzcon for reforged or it will be the same story from last year at blizzcon.
Then don’t read or expect much out of them.

How would it be beneficial to test out one race without seeing the balance with other races? I dont believe they ever said anything about releasing one race for us to “test”
What exactly are you expecting from a beta? does beta mean they will release a demo version with only a few campaign levels and a few custom maps to be tested? why even bother? its not like WC3 is a bran new game in need of testing, thats what PTR is for, we already have been playing the unfinished game and testing it for blizzard
the ONLY thing that really matters for Reforged to be successful is that AT and cross-realm/server play is working, and they dont really need a beta to make that happen.
lets say they have Reforged ready and completed in December, they could have a “beta” period for a few weeks or they could just release the full game and then release an update when necessary
I feel like the people who expect a beta dont actually play WC3 and dont understand what purpose a beta would serve. Beta is just a buzzword to get people excited about preordering, and preordering is a scam in and of itself
