So, im wondering if the secret tower defence level in warcraft 3 reforged is completely redone or new to the game, because i dont recall having seen it before, and i cant find anything on the net about it.
Perhaps im just a noob that havent played wc3 enough.
its not new, it was there before. I heard its been changed a little bit, but Im not sure how much since I haven’t finished RoC in reforged yet

Well, i never tried it in the original, but looking at vids on the net, it seems to have been “completely redone”.
That tower defense level was INSANELY DIFFICULT. Like I love tower defense games and I had to give up on it. You have to just spam tower like crazy and build them ahead of the wave as it’s running through or you had no chance. It was simply stressful and annoying so I always skipped it. It’s optional.
If they did change it I imagine they make it less ridiculous. Everyone skipped it afaik.
Bro… that’s literally 95% premise of tower defense games
Actually I’ve played dozens of tower defense games and none were like that. You literally have to make hundreds of weak towers and it did not matter where you put them. Just vomit them out cause your weak towers can barely keep up and it’s all you have available.
It was one of the most dull, frustrating experiences I’ve had with defense games and I’m not surprised it was an optional mission.
In fact I dare you to find videos of people that actually completed that mission. I’ve watched a couple people clear the game on hard mode that do exactly what I do when I get the extra mission on hard mode. Skip it cause it’s stupid. It was a cute novelty but now I’d just avoid getting the mission altogether.

I haven’t played that one back in the day. Im still on ROC again havent played campaign as much, almost done with humans. Doing it all on hard
You can upgrade the towers and build a nuke tower that does nearly 1k damage I didn’t find it in the original so idk if those are new and it seemed like a typical tower defence Fused with with a rts probably felt stressful cause you had to move engineers around to build but I liked it
The scecret level was changed. The map has a different layout ratio. Old was 1:2. Reworked is more square 3:4.
Pretty much every map involving Dalaran was redone to better resemble Dalaran’s circular geography from WoW.
