Sometimes when my internet is down I’d like to play an rpg map or something similar while offline in Local Area Network but I can’t because there is a 15 character limit in the player name you can type and my battle.net name in Warcraft 3 is 17 characters long along with the # and numbers.
Most maps that save your progress save it for your specific Warcraft 3 name so I can’t access any of my progress on any given map because I can’t type my whole name in the box.
Please expand the allowed characters in the ‘enter player name’ prompt to 20 or more.
technical limitation. Game isn’t going to be updated, so this will never be changed. Just shorten it somehow, its not like people on your LAN won’t know who you are…
