Its unfair, it ruins RT, and it makes AT boring.

Why wouldn’t they? It’s not like they learned anything from the mistake in the last 10 years by allowing such matchmaking for both SC2 and HOTS. Given the amount of effort they invested into Reforged, it’s very likely they’ll just copy paste already existing systems from other games despite all the shortcomings.
Not only is it unfair, but often the difference in MMR won’t be enough to compensate such advantage for the team that was not pre formed. Voluntary voice chat participation in same games is often not taken advantage of for many reasons. Forcing socialisation to stay competitive doesn’t go well with players. It’s like those quests in HOTS that force you to add a random person to you friend list only because the special event quest says so.
RT = Random team = strangers thrown into the same team
AT = Arranged team = a pre-formed team of people that know eachother
