Please change Jailor Kassan's model

He is like the Warden of the Violet Hold. Him being an old friend of Kael’thas means he was a prominent member of the Kirin Tor for some time. That means he is supposed to be some sort of a battlemage captain, not some shabby rascal that looks like a Vrykul pauper.

I think the Captain model with a changed tabard to Violet Eye/Kirin Tor would suit him more…

Edit: I mean in Reforged. It looks out of place when paired together with Footmen, Captains, Knights, Human Priests, Human Mages, etc.

Keep in mind that Kassan’s model was never glamorous. He used the Bandit model in Warcraft 3. He was the Jailor in their underground prison complex, not a member of the Council of Six.

I know, but at least a member of the Kirin Tor would love to have some respectable armor, wouldn’t they?

I actually really like his model.

For the concerns that he doesn’t fit Dalaran’s look… there’s nothing about Dalaran that says everyone has to wear purple robes emblazoned with their symbol. Kael’thas and Jaina were both studying there, and I doubt they would have been garbed in the classic purples. They would have just been wearing what they usually wear.

That being said, I think Kassan as a ‘lowly brute’ is fitting. If they used the Bandit model for him back in WC3, then it’s obvious that they didn’t want him looking more regally adorned considering they could have used a Footman Captain model instead.

It’s gonna be out of place considering the revamped pally models in the undead mission. Let’s be real, he is dressed like a random creep you kill on the map, not a warden of the kirin tor. Check out the violet hold guards we have now in WoW.

But that’s the thing. He doesn’t guard the Violet Hold.

There’s a reason they used the bandit model, and it’s to show that he’s more of a ruffian than a knight. He’s under Garithos’ orders, after all.

Everyone is. But he’s Kirin Tor.

I think it would actually be cool if he was haemonculus kinda dude, instead of just jailer being more of a torturer, I know that wearing cloak made from skinned faces would be too much for warcraft, but dude with belt full of torture devices, maybe scarred, topless or wearing apron … now that would be interesting …

I agree, but they didn’t look like shabby Vrykul shamans either

OP is obviously correct and makes a good suggestion.

To those who don’t understand, I add this further supporting evidence of what Blizzard intended for him to look like.

That is something like what the warden of the violet hold would look like. The mission doesn’t need 100% unique units since the prison guards were actually Garithos’ soldiers, but obviously the bandit model was just a placeholder that never got fixed.

The idea that he was intended to be brutish is absurd considering his obvious sympathy for Kael’thas.
