I am a grumpy old gamer and when wc3 came out I had to sit in a bus, drive almost an hour and had to purchase the game buy handing out my collected lunch money from the last months. I would gladly do the same thing with reforged and as I am a working class citizen now, I could actually afford a collectors edition version of the game, too
I know this is a marketing decision and is maybe hard copies are not viable anymore in 2018, but I would guess that all the oldschool gamers out there would appreciate a hardcopy and the possibility of a nice collectors edition. I think there would be enough material to fill a wc3 reforged book or something like that. For example as a softwaredeveloper myself I would really enjoy some insights of how the upscaled the graphics, some pre/after shots of the models, how they satteled on the artsyle or some stories of how it was to revisit such an old codebase. I think there are plenty of ideas that the classic team could put into some kind of print format.
I am not complaining, I just wanted to put this out there and would like to know, if there are other people out there that would gladly pay some bucks more to get a real nice physical copy.
