Have you tried disabling the integrated graphics like the other thread suggested?
Also could try CostaCustoms’ possible fix.

Just besides: I notice the patch download today. However no news about it by blizzard in the hotfix thread. (thinking: ok must be super small)
FYI: On dez 23 there already was a “ninja” patch 2.0.1.22498 which fixed some damage types bug (which was caused by .22490) in some custom games from what I tested (= good). It did not list the changes, neither.
However this time, I wondered this (dez 25. or 26.) update does not even have a new version number. It still is ending .22498 like the dez 23 one.
@blizzard New version number would appreciated (like 22499?) so we know that something changed and might cause problems, or could give better reports or could better discuss in what patch we noticed a problem. Thank you.

Apparently if you have integrated graphics you can only disable the graphics AND NOT enter the command.
If you do not have integrated graphics (in my case) use the command line.

i do not have integrated graphics, I tried your commande and doesnt fix anything for me
same here again. pls fix soon.
You know, it really isn’t necessary for the SAME PERSON to make multiple threads about the same problem. Spamming the boards, especially with unconstructive comments, isn’t going to get a fix faster. Especially when there are multiple end-user workarounds available that the OP almost certainly hasn’t attempted.
Prove it.
You said you’re an “amd user.” Many AMD CPUs have integrated graphics, especially those released in the last 2-3 years.
Post a link to a screenshot of your AMD Adrenalin app’s settings screen:
https://imgur.com/boKaEzW
I’ve highlighted the relevant information with a red box.
If you see three boxes on the right hand side then yes, you have integrated graphics.
Prove to me that you don’t have integrated graphics (or they’re already disabled) and that you’ve also tried the -graphicsapi command line argument.
If what you said is true you should have no problem doing this. If you refuse or can’t, that tells me you’re making stuff up (or your hardware is insufficient).
I am an “amd user” too. This CPU (Ryzen 9 7900X 12-Core Processor) has integrated graphics, and after patch 2.0.1 the game decided to start using it instead of my actual GPU (a Radeon RX 7900 XT 20GB). This resulted in getting around 10-20 FPS and constant stuttering due to the integrated graphics only using 512MB of RAM maximum.
When I disabled the integrated graphics, I was back to getting 200-400 FPS.
There is a SEPERATE issue, which does NOT appear to be AMD-specific, where people’s FPS decreased or became unstable after the patch, and using the command line argument -graphicsapi direct3d12 improved their performance.
He did try the graphicsapi command, though from the screenshot it looks like that might be the only thing he tried.
Link completed for the sake of convenience. I’ve yet to find a screenshot about the integrated graphics though.

Got it.
Would still like to see device manager → display adapters and → processors and the GPU software.
Thank you! This command solved the problem for me. My CPU also does not have integrated graphics(Ryzen 7 5700X3D), so I tried to find other solutions besides the “Disable device” from display adapters.

Can’t wait for the captainjack answers " it’s normal, your computer is not powerfull enough, you can’t launch wc3 " moaauahahaah
Meanwhile, I always been at 250fps stable and could play 16 players ffa map or more without any lags. ( also have nvidia geforce GTX1070 and 16go RAM) also, my brother has a pc weaker than mine and older and run the game without any issues ( Intel i5 + gtx1060 and 8go RAM)

Hmm… Do you have the AMD Adrenalin app installed? Can you show a screenshot from there? I wanna be extra sure…
There was an issue with AMD users before the 2.0 patch and I can’t remember if it was related to integrated graphics or not (Probably wasn’t? I think there were people back then also reporting it was on processors without integrated GPU’s…) but if it is, I think that was just… fixed one day by Blizz.

Well… it’s enough, yes, or at least, should be. The main difference between you and me here is I also have an AMD GPU.
My primary issue with your threads is your constant implication that the problem here is AMD specific, but it is not- Again, I have an AMD CPU and this issue is not happening to me, so please don’t write like all AMD owners have had their FPS crippled- you have, and some others may have, but not all.
You have an Nvidia GPU and I do not, and your CPU is considerably older- it should still be good enough though. You may want to try downloading the AMD software installer installer and updating your chipset drivers if you haven’t done that.
https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html
You’re also very fixated on AMD being the problem but it could just as easily be an Nvidia problem. Reinstall the latest drivers and try playing with settings for the game in your GPU software.
Forcing the game to run on another CPU core may also help- right click on the game process in Task Manager while the game is running, click “Set Affinity…” and uncheck CPU 0 and 1. This is a temporary workaround though, as it needs to be done any time you run the game.
Although it can be used for CPU performance tweaking, they may not have the app installed because they’re not using an AMD GPU.
It worked that moment I posted the reply, now It’s not working anymore …

I’ve had enough of this too. I have an AMD RX 5700XT and Ryzen 5 3600. Before the latest patch Warcraft 3 2.0 was working very smooth for me (contrary to previous Reforged). Now it’s back to being choppy again, both in menus and in game.
I have tried to command line argument fix, but it doesn’t fix it. I also don’t have any integrated GPU. That’s all besides the point, it’s not up to me to tweak with the game to get it to work, it’s up to Blizzard to revert their latest changes and re-do them, but this time properly.

Hmm, odd… Can you try running Direct3D11 instead, see if that works?

Mine also did this, it worked and then a little later it did not. Turned off my computer and a day later played again and it was fine. That was yesterday, today seems to be running smooth as well fingers crossed lol
