Why was there a completely unannounced patch (still no notes) that also made the game unplayable and stutter every second?

Yes, it has been updated three times, with approximately 27M changes each time, but the version number has not changed? Hahaha, what’s the situation?

Here game doesn’t even launch after the 1st of today’s updates…
i was able to play just fine yesterday … Today i played 2 games, then my wi-fi went off, once it came back on battle.net notified that there was a game patch to update… After updating, game won’t even launch anymore.
it didn’t make me stutter or do anything unusual, but whatever else it could have done isn’t visible or apparent here…
patch notes guy probably already on vacation

Yeah I woke up to another update and now the game runs again at (capped) framerate with smooth frame times except for the periodic 1s freeze LMAO. Someone stealth dropping updates.
ever since 2.0.122498 came out my wc3 launcher doesnt want to update to the new version
Install / reinstall it while not logged in, this gets around that issue. To do this, at the battle.net app login prompt, click the gear icon above the name/password field and select “Continue without logging in”
This will allow you to update and install all battle.net games regardless of ownership or this issue. After doing so, log back in normally.
