It’s likely not the same issue. Macs are missing the game files.
You likely have the files, but something is preventing the game from launching.
Very different issue.
Well it worked this morning I copied a map from editor to a random folder than its all gates multiple reinstall works on 2 pcs behind me where else does wc3 dump things i can clean them up manually? I see nothing relevant in crash dumps or error logs event viewer etc. So its not network as the otehr pcs are connect through the same device its not the files as ive reinstalled and tried just targeting the ones from the other pc after moving them via share. I see it pulls maps from the users folder but i dont know if i need to purge registry stuff its not uninstalling or what. But it worked for hours this morning and now its the same as them stuck on gates or black screen of doom when i tried to have it recreate the folder with maps in users. The thing that broke it was literally me clicking test map on a copied campaign map I added a unit too in a random folder.
So that sounds like the game is launching, but it gets stuck sometime afterward. Macs don’t launch at all.
As for what’s happening, I couldn’t say. You can try searching the forums for black screens or anything else that describes what you are experiencing. There’s also a support article on the black screen irc.
I’m getting so pissed off about this. WC3 is my comfort food game. Been playing it since it launched like 20 years ago! Blizzard really done messed this up.

I don’t disagree. It is really screwing the Mac users.

So I did finally mange to fix this I don’t know how it broke but his nvidia control panal didnt see wc3 anymore? I added it and bam it works very odd it would not even launch at first i had to run some PowerShell to even get it to grab the file online to even open it bizzare. But solved for us now
