Offline play without internet connection

Will i be able to play WC3 Reforged offline without internet connection (like the original version), or it will require constant connection like StarCraft Remastered ?

Offline play, man I can’t overstate the importance of this.
It made the games of that era, so much more player friendly. There is absolutely no reason why campaign or LAN should be connected to the internet. And is only there to give more control to the game studio.
If only for the sake of people whom live in era’s without solid internet connection, make it an offline game, and only go online when entering the Battlenet section.
But seeing that it will be provided via the Battlenet app …

The only reason i didn’t buy StarCraft Remastered and also Diablo III is because both games required constant internet connection. I can’t understand why they started using always-only on single player games. With always online i don’t feel that i own the game.

Yes, it’s like you rend it like Netflix or something. Totally not appropriate for something you buy.

I don’t mind always-online when the games are strictly multiplayer like the MOBAs, MMOs. Heck Valve even have offline modes for Dota 2, Team Fortress 2, CSGO and they are multiplayer focused games with no story at all.

Sure hope it is playable in offline.

LAN play has been pretty instrumental for me as moving between countries every couple of years and needing to connect back to my original zone to play games has been a nightmare for my ping (when connecting to game servers instead of LAN). Add to that, even in this day and age in the heart of London my connection can still be a weak droppy POS that telco’s wont address.

I cant stress enough the importance of allowing us to continue playing this offline.

Starcraft Remastered doesn’t need constant connection.

You have LAN play, and you need to connect every 30 days but then you don’t need internet anymore.

I bought diablo3 on my 360, ps4 and switch, but never on my PC. Not only does it need an internet connection, it needs a high speed one too

Exactly i don’t know why pc gamers are treated like this.

Well I have a pain in the but getting SC2 to work offline, so I played WC3 when my neighbour decided to create a new shed on our outside internet cable. This game is so good to play offline, I realy hope they keep it so

I got Diablo 3 and threw it in the shelf for 4 years for that exact same reason, I thought blizzard will eventually give in and put offline play. I gave up and played it, 1st 3 difficulties wasn’t bad, any thing after that, one lag spike, and the hero is dead lol. I am a single-player person. I have the ALLOWED-TO-BE-OFFLINE-PS4 version but for some reason i couldn’t stand playing beyond Act 1 in a controller.

Offline play is better, the only reason Diablo III and Starcraft Remastered put always-online is because of piracy. If you don’t want the game to be played illegally just add Denuvo Protection its better than Always-Only.
