Offline LAN is broken

After the update offline LAN is not working. When I try to join a friends game it just hangs and doesn’t do anything. I did a pcap and see that its trying to reach out to some blizzard IP 137.221.105.136.
I noticed that if join the game from an online copy then it will work. Something added with the portrait name in the LAN screen is causing an issue with name check.

Having the exact same issue here too.

I also have the same issue. And I used offline LAN all the time. I just lost access to one of the aspects of the game I used the most.

I am able to replicate this as well.

Occasionally, I get the “check your VPN” error dropdown. And after dismissing it, it leaves a graphical artifact on the bottom of the screen in the form of the chains and top edge of the error window. This also seems to block the “Back” button in the lower left, which prevents backing out of the LAN UI.

So Lan issue is proved.
But I think, is not about names, but clients (Games) are checking each other, and if one of them are not the new game (so not Battle Chest), then just disconnects…

I wish I could. But I’d need to be 1) an employee, and 2) a developer/engineer of WC3R.

EDIT: Cat edited their post above, so this reply won’t appear to be related.

A lot of players have those issues, Please solve them, we are the customers here!

I tested this with two clients, both up to date. So that isn’t the cause.

When I try to join an offline lobby, nothing happens when I click the Confirm button. After a few seconds, I get the message “There was an error in hadling request. Please check your VPN.”
After which the crappy coded webui breaks, spreads across the screen and blocks access to the Back button.
Before patch 2.0, this problem did not exist.
