No single player skirmish?

How do you play against a bot single player? I tried to make a custom private game and was booted for “host kicked player” when adding a computer player.

edit: Map = Booty bay. Don’t know if that matters

Single player skirmish is not available. All you can do is launch a game against a computer in a private lobby, but then you cannot save or load, cannot cheat, and have ping. Welcome to Reforged.

yeah, just Google a hacked version and play offline.

You should be able to to make a custom game, make it private, and add AI. I’ve been able to without any issues, so it’s definitely possible.

If you’re getting kicked out, that’s not normal. You may want to make a post in the Bug Report forum so QA can log it and hopefully get it worked out.

Also the text “Booty Bay” contains banned words as you can see if you use that for a game name. It might be better to try a different map.

BLIZZARD: PLEASE MAKE CUSTOM GAMES AGAINST THE COMPUTER EASIER TO FIND IN MENU (Perhaps a quick tab under the VERSUS Tab to make it more intuitive!)

Below is instructions on how to find this (PS: I had to google it and I am an avid Warcraft 3 player who could not find it either!!)

  1. From the main menu, click the “Custom” tab.
  2. “Create” your own match by hitting that specific button.
  3. Choose the map you’d like to play and remember to give the match a name.
  4. With your own server now created, select each available “open slot” and change it to a computer AI. You can select the difficulty level. Each color corresponds to the computer’s starting point, which you can cross-reference by looking at the picture of the map.
  5. From here, you can also change game settings like resources, game speed, etc. When you’re ready, start the game.
