i know you are about to burn me like a witch with torches
i know you dont like other consoles like mobiles
but wouldnt be nice for reforged to be playable for nintendo switch?
it has touch screen, it can use mouse and keyboard, so why not?
if the game got better with optimization and graphics. it would be a really nice surprise to be 60fps 1080p docked.
plz let me stay alive and dont kill me guys ffs
dont be angry, if someone wants to play it on pc it is his problem
some may want to play it on other consoles they already have !
peace

Well,If Switch really have Mouse and Keyboard - It’s possible…But aren’t switch screen is a bit too small for such thing as RTS?

you can dock it via hdmi to a pc monitor
Wait…If you have a chance to play this game on pc monitor, with keyboard and mouse…Why you prefer to play on console if it’s much comfortable on PC?

some guys may not have good pcs, and switch is quite strong
its just an idea
Um…I don’t really think that Switch is strong enough for such game.
Also it might take a while for Blizzard to make a Switch Port - By that time there will be great optimization for weaker PC’s

it might be a good idea. the only problem is that it might be too memory heavy for the switch. the classic warcraft 3 however might work on the switch. that would also be easier to port.
just think of classic with just better models created by moders
i am following a facebook page with really nice new models for the old game
it can be even better from reforged this way
There’s no game that look better than Reforged
Reforged looks bad. Most games released this year, look better than Reforged.
Reforged is perfect, especially after release, with HD graphics

Because the Nintendo Switch costs just £200 or less, while a not rubbish gaming PC is £700. Sure the PC can do a lot more than the Nintendo Switch, but it also costs a lot more.
Also the ability to play Warcraft III on the go would be something. Even if not for melee play, but custom maps.
In theory making ports to the switch is not that hard. ARM compilers pretty much match x86 ones feature wise. The issue is more making it run on the hardware of the Switch. Switch has an 8 core processor (4 high power, 4 low power) with the high power being at 1.9 GHz although Wikipedia states Nintendo may be running this closer to 1 GHz for power efficiency. Warcraft III loves single thread performance so 1.9 GHz might not cut it with Reforged graphics on a complex custom map or melee with a lot of players.
Modern games scale better when ported to the Switch as they are designed around multi core processors so can take advantage of the 4 or 8 cores. Older single thread orientated titles cannot do this so can easily be CPU bottlenecked.
4 GB of memory is more than enough, especially seeing how it does not have multiple GB of bloat. At worst it would have to dial back the textures a quality level.

It is really not. With War3 Classic, the simplistic models fit the gameplay (bad pathfinding, bodyblocks, OP abilities), but with the new models, it creates an Uncanny Valley effect, in which you expect the game to play like a much more modern title (like Starcraft 2 or Dawn of war 2) with very fluid movement and engagements; but all you get is the Classic gameplay, which feels excruciatingly dated, when translated to the current graphics.

Models are great, epic and detail. Which makes storytelling ten times more exciting and interesting for the player. Each character has a unique model with it’s own style (Instead of Copy-Paste the same model) Each design is canon. Lighting and Shaders from final build are amazing
i tested warcraft 3 reforged and it does take more than 3 gigabytes of ram with everything loaded. that is on a very stripped down map with only grass and trees and only one player and no creeps. that would likely not work on the switch. if nintendo manages to increase its memory however, then it is a different story. warcraft 3 classic however should work without issues.
Heresy!
Burn the heretic!
Grab your torches!
Grab pitchforks and we will drive the heretics back!
All jokes aside.
You’re not a heretic.
It’s actually a neat idea but, I don’t figure it’d work.
Console rts games are a pain to work with and even to play.
Just look at Dungeons 3 on the PS4.
Performance issues combined with janky gameplay and inefficient controls.
Now one could say that the touch screen might help alleviate some of the controls issues but with the small screen and space that the UI itself requires I do not believe it would prove viable.

think about the grid at the left for touch screen mode, while at the right you are using mouse
or think about a diffrent ui from the pc version with a touchscreen for all the necessary keys. if blizzard want it can find a way. switch give a lot of solutions
using the whole screen as a touch keyboard while docked to a monitor is a good thing too. you just need someone with ideas and some programmers to achieve it.
if something is not possible , blizzard can create its own gadget for switch as it already made by a pokemon game using a pokebal like a controller
!
warcraft 3 reforged uses a lot of memory while warcraft 3 classic does not. i tested it myself and it used above 3 gigabytes but, it is likely to use more in a multiplayer game. that means that they would not be able to include multiplayer. i suppose they could release it with single player only though.
I didn’t even know that nintendo switch finally started supporting keyboard and mouse. I’d buy it just to play on the go tbh. It would have to have a custom console i think. If I wasn’t using mouse and keyboard I’d want to be playing using the touch screen. The switch could run warcraft reforged fam. The switch plays Witcher 3, it can play warcraft.
