I just started encountering this after my last game -
I get to main menu, click multiplayer and menu goes up, screen slightly darkens aaaaand… nothing. No multiplayer menu or interface ever appears.
I’m sure I’ve encountered this phenomenon before, it’s a delay that only works when you try to open it again

same exact thing happening right now here, earlier today it was fine
I’ve already tried restarting a few times, deleting my maps downloads folder scan and repair and even a full uninstall and clean reinstall of the whole game.
I just tried clicking “local area network” from the main menu instead, just to test if I could get anything other than the main menu and it froze for several seconds and then I had this in-game window pop up saying “Bonjour installation is required in order to continue”
what the heck is bonjour?? what is going on?? lol
It’s pretty surprising since this rarely ever happens but it does appear to be borked. I’m sure we can all be at ease since Blizzard fixes these problems within hours if not minutes so you can hold your breath.

working for me again… not sure if it’s “fixed” or if it’s an intermittent problem and the proverbial dragon is just sleeping for the moment.

It’s a LAN discovery program created by Apple. Apparently it’s no longer used in Warcraft 3 but it’s seemingly been referenced by the popup window.
Weirdly I don’t get the same popup when I open the LAN menu option, even though I definitely do not have it installed…
Need to install?
