This is not about broken saves after patch - I already replayed the campaign from the start of act 2 and all the way to monastery. I had both manual and auto saves yesterday night before my game crashed and I had some trouble logging back in.
However, I started the game today and all the saves from yesterday are missing. I can see them in the folder “Documents\Warcraft III\BattleNet\ACCOUNTID\Campaigns\ForsakenKingdom”, but in-game they’re not listed. If I start a new campaign new save files appear in the same folder. What’s happening?
So what now? I can’t play the new save, but I also can’t play the old save because quicksave is gone and the automatic ones just load me into a non interactive map and I’m forced to close the game.
It’s a newer save from 3.0.1, so they won’t show up, just like maps made in a newer version, they don’t show up on older versions. In this case, ver 3.0.0
Replay with godmode on or wait for October 19th patch. You should be able to start your last major campaign step (I assume Chapter 2)
Same exact issue here. I had to replay all of Act 2 after my October 7th save was gone. I got all the way up to before assaulting the monastery of the Scarlet people yesterday, October 8th. I made sure to manually save my game all throughout my progress. and now it is simply gone once again today, October 9th. Extremely frustrating and annoying. If it does not show back up, I will not play again until the October 19th patch. Very upset I lost some legendary equipment I was lucky enough for the creeps to drop.
I’m very mad about this, Blizzard trying to help other people made me unable to play my saved games from yesterday, I had a shi**y day and this is the worst ending possible
