Menu Totally Bug

After months without playing this game, the first time I need it, it’s all bug now. In the main menu I can’t click on Single Player and Local Network. The Options menu opens but show nothing, literally just grey screen in all options (video, sound, etc.), and I wanted to change to Classic textures but it says “You can’t change graphics while playing”, my man, I’m in the main menu, not in a lobby or a started game!

Someone know how to fix this problem? Thanks.

I can’t believe the game still have this kind of issues years after the release. I feel like I should have taken the refund.

You posted in the wrong forum but I’ll help you anyway. Your Documents\Warcraft III folder is likely set to read only or/and your settings file is corrupted.

  1. Go to the Documetns folder in your user folder, and look for the Warcraft III folder. Right click > properties and clear the checkbox that says Read Only.
    1a. launch the game. If its not fixed continue to 2)
  2. Delete the war3preferences file (make a backup first)
  3. launch the game
