Mana skills and their relationship to intelligence

Greetings Traveler!

As we should all know, mana is related to the hero’s intelligence. To be precise, an increase in intelligence creates an increase in mana.
Conversely, one could conclude from this that a high mana is to be equated with an intelligent hero.
However, there are several possibilities of this type of relationship.
E.g. one could compare the exercise of the skills with one another.
Take for example Skills that regenerate mana or drain mana.
Skills with such a possibility are very strong, because they allow more or less skills to be used and thus e.g. to do more or less harm. There are not many such skills in WC3 which is why I am listing them for you in a racial hierarchy:

Undead

Lichking - Dark Ritual

Sacrifices a target friendly unit to convert its hit points into mana for the Lich.

Destroyer - Devour Magic

Consumes all positive and negative buffs from all units in an area. Each unit that is devoured of magic gives back the Destroyer 50 hit points and 75 mana. Deals 180 damage to summoned units.

Destroyer - Absorb Mana

Takes all mana from one of your units and gives it to the Destroyer.

Obsidian Statue - Spirit Touch

Restores 3 mana to nearby friendly units.

Night Elves

Moon Well - Replenish Mana and Life

Moon Wells provide food for the Night Elves, but can also replenish mana and health to friendly units. Mana in a Moon Well is regenerated during nighttime.

Demon Hunter - Mana Burn

Sends a bolt of negative energy that burns a target enemy unit’s mana. Burned mana combusts, dealing damage to the target equal to the amount of mana burned.

Wisp - Detonate

Destroys the Wisp, dispelling all magical buffs and draining 50 mana from each unit in an area around the Wisp. Deals 225 damage to summoned units.

Human

Blood Mage - Siphon Mana

Transfers mana between the Blood Mage and a target. Drains mana from an enemy, or transfers mana to an ally. Siphon Mana can push the Blood Mage’s mana over its maximum value, though excess mana drains off rapidly if not used.

Archmage - Brilliance Aura

Gives additional mana regeneration to nearby friendly units.

Arcane Tower - Feedback

This tower’s attacks destroy 24 (12 to Heroes) mana per hit. The mana combusts, dealing damage to the attacked unit.

Orc

Tauren Chieftain - Reincarnation

When killed, the Tauren Chieftain will come back to life. The Tauren Chieftain will return with full mana.

With this comparison we can see that the races have different intelligence to one another. The number of skills and the skill strength thus result in a hierarchy, from the most intelligent race to the dumbest.

  1. Undead
  2. Night Elves
  3. Human
  4. Orc

Thank you very much for your attention and don’t let Darkness prank you on the phone.

Sincerely

“From the most intelligent to the dumbest”, that’s tough haha. But great analysis

This is a cool post, but I rather base it on their technology. Based on actual tech, the human alliance is by far the smartest faction. Dumbest would be the elves

We can’t judge a race by their level of technology. Unless we are talking about the goblins, which are technologically advanced, but they are one of the most hilarious and dumbest race from what i’ve seen so far.
