Apparently, someone from Blizzard has shown interest toward the game and especially toward 3v3/4v4 modes with latest fixes. Instead of making basic research you decided to fix what is not broken. Let me help you on the subject.
Things which don’t need to be fixed (or fixed in a terribly wrong way):
- Not allowing party of 2 (or 3) premades to play together in 3v3 (or 4v4) gamemode(s)
If your initial idea was to make matchmaking more fair, then you should make it the way where parties match against parties. For example:
2+2 vs. 2+2;
2+1+1 vs. 2+2;
2+1+1 vs. 3+1;
3+1 vs. 2+2 or 2+1+1;
4 vs. 3+1;
etc.
Its 2024 and every other competitive game with ranks/scores has it done by default. For whatever reason you decided to punish incomplete parties of 2-3 players and gave huge advantage toward a party of 4. Why would not allow friends to play together if they would like to? Do I have to find additional 2 people to fill up a party of 4 and make up a schedule for all of us to play 4v4 mode? Have you put a second into thinking of the result you just achieved?
At this point you should either complete what you started disallowing every party to play -or- do the thing in a right way -or- revert changes of banning sub-parties so friends can play together again.
Things which are actually needed to be fixed:
- Matching players and teams according to their scores and winrates;
- Proper distribution of points after the match;
The screenshot says it all for two previous articles - 6 wins can’t cover up a single loss: [ https:// i.imgur. com/mCtm2A0.jpeg ]. Last season I ended up with ~60% winrate and 3k points [ https:// i.imgur. com/HFahkfx.jpeg ] due to that and was forced to play quite often with total noobs who refuse to learn basics of the game. - Punishment for leavers and ruiners;
Implement any existing system from other competitive games or start manually banning accounts reacting to created threads. It takes 3 restarts to play a single playable game due to leavers. Its 1 out of 5 games having a player who is up to intentionally make a damage to his own teammates.
