Just paid for WIII just to find out that it doesn’t work on a Mac. (Although it let me download it for Mac). Kind of shady.

it’s not “shady” at all. It’s called a technical problem. Ever heard of those?
Also, a fix is expected this week. The game has always worked on Mac until a bug introduced with a recent patch broke it.
But if you can’t wait fora the imminently arriving fix, then you can get a refund. Like I said. Nothing “shady,” you can absolutely get a refund if you can’t play or don’t like the game.

All the other maintenance outages will be 1hr or 2hrs max - but Reforged is 10 hours! I wonder what the heck will happen.
They said on the 7th that it would be about a week to solve the mac problem, and tomorrow will be 5 working days, so seems right on time.
Lots of buzz about the leaked 2.0 version of WC3 - even reforged didn’t get updated to 2.0 when they launches it. Maybe the biggest update in WC3 history? The hype is too real.

Yeah, this is certainly an interesting development. I’m trained to treat anything Blizzard says or does with skepticism even in the most trivial cases, but a 10 hour maintenance can’t possibly be just for a bug fix.
Just downloaded the game again after reading the news about the 2.0 update. Wanted to give it another shot after a few years. But the game doesn’t start. It says it need to be updated to 2.0, which is what I just downloaded. Did a scan and repair, but no success. Should I uninstall the game and try again? Or is still an issue. Not a good start for a 2.0 revamp of this game.
Same problem here. Many people have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no success. Apparently this is affecting both Mac and PC players. At least it launches? haha
Hopefully they fix it soon.
Cant help, I updated, the game worked first try no issues. Wish I had some insight for you.
