Howdy.
This game wont work on my mac computer. Its telling me a error at login but im not even wanting to play online I just want to play the campaigns. Is there a quick fix or anything i can do to just play offline?

WC3 hasn’t worked for Macs since the first week of October when the new patch deleted game files. It appears that has been corrected with 2.0, but 2.0 introduced the 6:9 error for Macs.
Blizzard is aware and they claim they are working on a fix. That said, it totally sucks that the game that work perfectly fine in September hasn’t worked in one way or another since.
Be careful, there are lecture courses on this forum explaining how it’s not really broken, or it was but now it isn’t, or that it is, but it’s ok. Baseline shifts as fast as blame at the broken-blizzard.

Yeah, I have seen a few of the posts. Not sure what their true motivations are, and in many cases the posts are not untrue, but it seems that they want to diminish the concerns and complaints from Mac users that paid for a now unplayable game.
I saw one post on the WC3 technical support forum telling Mac users that they shouldn’t be buying a Mac to play games. What a solution.
There are actually 2 individuals which live in some kind of bubble here in the forum. Personally I’m ignoring them.
A broken game is a broken game. Unless the game can be properly played it’s broken and it’s completely irrelevant for affected users how many insufficient “hotfixes” have been applied. And a company provisioning software licenses for ANY kind of software should make sure that the software is usable as advertised until official EOL. Listing supported platforms on the website is an important part of that advertisement. Failing to do so will result in bad reputation.
Out of curiosity I had a quick look into Blizzard’s End User License. I’m not a lawyer so I interpret the End Users License like this: there’s zero guarantees from their side that they will fix issues at all (except providing refunds or replacing defect media for a short period after purchase of the license). Zero.
Mac users finally want a working game after weeks of not being able to play. They paid for the license and should not be told to compensate Blizzard’s utter failure by spending more money. Even worse people buying the game right now will not be able to play the game at all. I’m confident that there are people which consider this scam.
There’s simply not a single legit excuse for how Blizzard is dealing with the current situation. They came up with bad ideas (Reforge eventually replacing WC3 classic, introducing Reforged V2 although the community was mostly happy with WC3 classic), they failed to execute on multiple points (bad patch on October 3rd, failed go-live for all Mac users) and last but not least leaving their customers in the rain with close-to-zero support.
Actually I think it’s time that Microsoft steps in and takes over control to avoid more failures.
I can launch the game now but get an empty screen after choosing multi or single player … cannot play
