Mac error when trying to launch saved game

Hi Blizzard

I’m getting an error after I updated Warcraft 3 (latest patch) on my Mac, I tried to launch a (any) saved games and get this error:

“There was an error trying to load the selected save game.”

Please help.

When did you create those save games? if they were created before any recent patches, they are likely no longer compatible.

I got some help from tech support, as mentioned the patches cause issues with old saves. I had to restart the campaign, then the game worked.

To avoid a loss of progress, keep in mind you can use the instant win and level skip cheat codes to get back to where you were, with no penalties or side effects (use of the game’s cheat codes does NOT prevent earning the achievements for unlocking campaign portraits).
