I lost all of my campaign progress (though I can see all my saved games in the documents). I have not switch between reforged and classic. I read through the forums and saw that one of the only ways to get back to the mission was via “allyourbasearebelongtous” cheat. So I did that for 30 minutes cycling through the missions until I could play the one I wanted (bonus campaign) and now it is telling me that I lost all my progress again. Incredibly frustrating to deal with two days in a row.
Why can I find my saved games but this game cannot? Why can I not just add it to a directory and have them show up like every other game?
Why are all of the campaigns locked in the first place? Why not have the first mission available on all of them so that you can choose which campaign to reset?
Campaign progress is stored locally on your computer. Re-installing, switching to another PC or cleaning folder locations may alter the file and thus campaign progress can be lost. We don’t know why this is not saved online alongside your profile, as wins are to accrue for new icons.
Best thing is to locate this file and one completed save it somewhere so you can restore it in future cases.
I believe the file is saved at C:\Users\Kiezel\Documents\Warcraft III\BattleNet\434112\Campaigns
Perhaps you can add the below in your reforged.w3p file in the reforged sub folder. Not sure if it will works but it is a 3 minute attempt so just give it a go.
