Yeah but, like most Blizzard decisions, it’s a very tone def one.
Imagine sitting in a room, after all that’s happened and thinking, our audience is really mad at us, what can we do to make it better? OH I KNOW, lets make it so all Classic users, the people we cut already paid content from have no colour on any of their screens. That’ll sure go over well.

Do color blind people just see sepia as all gray?

Color blindness varies. The type that affects the yellow spectrum is the rarest.
It’s in the patch notes.
There will be menu changes so that players can tell whether they’re playing in reforged mode or classic mode. Currently Blizzard hasn’t completed the menu changes (that’s being worked on) so in the meantime as a temporary measure if you’re playing in classic mode, there is now a Sepia filter applied.
But even if it is only putting a filter on top of it, it is a waste of time and ressource.
They have lots of other stuff they should work on.
And even a blind person could have told them it would just make the community go rofl all over them again.

That, in and of itself, shouldn’t matter. If the update means snarky comments on the forum and that people now see which mode they are in, of course they should go for it.
“Temporary solution” to a problem that never existed. I know darn well I put my graphics on classic mode as I don’t like mobile game aesthetics. I bought deforged because despite my annoyances, I still had a slight bit of hope for the game’s future. This predatory move, as well as the new horrible sound effects, while queue is still bugging, steered me towards refunding after all.
I won’t and can’t support this “Blizzard” taking a massive dump on their “DNA”.
