I know there are already topics about this but none of them have solved this issue for me on getting past the lions gate. This started for me a week ago for absolutely no reason at all.
I made sure I have no firewall on, im not on a PTR, I have uninstalled and re-installed the game, I uninstall and reinstalled battlenet. and all the other suggestions with messing with the shortcut…nothing works…this just started up…any fixed that have not been mentioned previously? again, I went over all the other post on this subject and none of the recommendations worked.
Do you have a different machine you can test on? does the game work with the same account on a different machine?
Any luck here? Same thing just started happening to me out of nowhere.
Have you recently installed windows updates? Changed anything about your network configuration? Messed with game or windows settings? Driver updates? LIst anything that may have happened before you first saw it, even if it seems unrelated.
I wanted to ask if your Windows 11 installation is new, but I doubt it!
It’s at least from January 2025 by now. I don’t understand why this thread was bumped if you’re against necro posts. Plus here we have clear indication that OP AlphaOmega - did not post anything else, not active since then.
Anyway, my suggestion remains: at least install or check the Media Feature Pack for Windows, as I mentioned before. The intro movie can’t start without the proper codec, which causes the entire game to crash before it even launches.
(That’s what I encountered also with a new laptop.)
I can’t login to Battle Net inside the game anymore, and therefor all my saved game are inaccessible…
Blizzard is absolutely terrible with this game…
Sorry for your loss but that’s another issue.
You could open a support ticket, on this page up right corner - click on your name and Support. Usually that could be solved easily.
The Lion gate stuck error is something else.
