The MMR system is really buggy. Players with high win rates are ranked as Duelists, while us lower-ranked players don’t stand a chance when matched against skilled players.
The matchmaking might work well for 1v1 games, but it doesn’t for 3v3 or 4v4 matches. The MMR is broken. How can a player with an 80% win rate have a Duelist rank? We have zero chance against players like that.
The XP system is also unfair for lower-ranked players. We’re stuck at level 0, and it feels impossible to level up. It’s frustrating. If the system is going to make higher-level players lose more XP, fine, but why do lower-level players also lose XP? We’ll never reach level 4 at this rate. It’s incredibly hard, and it’s no longer fun to play. New players will give up because leveling up was supposed to be the fun part. Now it feels almost impossible!
Please stop making changes based on what you think is best for you, and start thinking about what’s best for the players.
Here’s what needs to be fixed:
- Change the MMR to an ELO system.
- Allow ping to find a game, but make sure the system sorts players so the match is fair.
- Ensure higher-level players lose more XP, not lower-level ones. Maybe revert to the previous level system?
- Add a 3-6 second cooldown before the game starts.
5.Fix the bug in the MMR system so that we don’t end up playing against much better players. Good players are ranked as Duelists, and they get matched up with amateurs who have no chance of winning. This creates a very frustrating experience for lower-level players.
Please adjust the matchmaking to ensure that players are only paired with others of similar skill, so we can have fairer and more enjoyable matches.
