Kael'thas shouldn't have Green Eyes but Blue

I just noticed his portrait eye color is green on the official website. Blood Elf eye color turned green after events of WC3: TFT and before TBC due to exposure to Fel Crystals that they found on Outland.
I hope this gets fixed, he should have blue eyes during WC3: TFT.

They’re catering to a WoW audience, not a WC3 audience… Just like how Diablo 3 (and now Diablo IIImmortal) was catering to non-Diablo fans :slight_smile: Sorry fam.

I didn’t get that lol. By “WoW lore”, he should have blue eyes instead of green during WC3: TFT, though.

Please led the Warcraft III iterations of the lore and styling be leading for Reforged.

Ironically, this was the case from the start.

Don’t wish to nitpick, but I am almost 100% sure that Blood Elves had green eyes during the events of TFT. At the very least the Sorceress, Spellbreaker, Archer (Blood Elf campaign only) and Priest had them.

They indeed had blue/white eyes in RoC, together with white-gold clothing motif (as High Elves), but all elven units got revamped in TFT into “WoW” Blood Elves with red clothing and green eyes.

Both RoC and TfT have elves with white eyes… Not blue nor green… Although after after Arthas scourge attack on silvermoon they supposed to become blood elves,as stated by kaelthas during the nigh elf campaign, they never had this green tint… Not in the original. But I agree this green eyes are related to the fel… Just like orcs green skin color… Relating to démon blood

The actual eye texture it’s self was white, but the models had blue particles in RoC and green particles in TFT, to denote the difference. Only the Kael’Thas model alone was missing the particle effect.

They were his magical attack orbs. His basic attack animation actually has him shooting them at people, like green fireballs.

BUT WHY GREEN XD
I mean his spells were literally fire… I was allways tring to get all orb items as that hero only for fun to have more things flying over my had :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah as stated I do remember the sorceress and priests having those particles effects ,I don’t think spell breakers did thou or the blood mage, but kaelthas was originally a high elf, so definitely it makes sense his eyes would be blue, and I don’t find logic, because of the death of his people his eyes would change color, changing the name of his race is one thing. Also green was always been related within wow with fel magic…

But if his eyes has to have a colour (because I think they would look somewhat silly if they were white with the new art style) I think blue would be a good choice. That would make a good way of showing that they’ve changed into the blood elves, when their eyes are suddenly green because of the fel :grinning:

Lorewise, Blood Elves eyes changed when they starting siphoning magic out of external sources, Demons in outland, and they didn’t start to do so after Illidan taught them. So, yeah, al High Elves should have blue glow on RoC as the Sunwell still powers them, dulled eyeglow showing their withrawal and a faint green eyeglow after they join up with Illidan, but no deep green as they are in WoW.
