Items on heroes

Hi all, this has been around since game came out, it’s about the items in heroes stacking, this has to stop both in Warcraft 3 classic and reforged. You cant have 2 of same like 2 gauntlets of strength for example and get x2 the effect, no item should stack. While this happens for some like talismant of evasion, it doesnt for others, all mustnt stack. Now about the claws, they shouldnt stack, if u have more than 1 claw in inventrory u should get only the higher + bonus. Thanx all.

I’ve seen noobs suggesting this in grubbys chat because you’re able to stack mana pots and such in campaign. (He played through it the past few days).

I’ll give the same response as grubby: “no.”

Inventory is completely fine. It was beta tested properly back in 2002, and has functioned without any complaints for just over 17 years and even at super high levels of play.

I am not talking about potions and rest consumable items, i am talking about rest items, like ring of protection, boots of speed etc. Inventory isnt fine being able to stack helms of valor, circlet of nobility, claws etc. This change needs to happen.

Dont just come here and demand a change that makes no sense specially to veteran players.

Here is why, cant wear a helm over a helm, a gauntlet over a gauntlet etc. But you can wear a circlet over a helm, gloves under gauntlets, slippers under boots. This is strategy-rpg so unless in rpgs start to wear 5 helms in the helm slot this has to change. Another reason is if they are to stack then why not multiple talismants of evasion wont? cause they are OP??? But why multiple claws stack then??? It’s imba to have different items stack but still its not the end of the world. Still this issue should be adressed. We are all old players in this game, cheers!

Wrong this is strategy + rts, seems you had little comprehension about what u were playing for 20 years. Sorry.

whatever not going to argue with someone who only wants to be “right” just for the sake of internet points.

The problem with the logic of your post is that this will heavily skew the luck of the game, which will be a problem in tournament games.

Let’s imagine you and your opponent start the game, you creep 2 spots and he creeps 2 spots. You get ring +2 and ring +3. Your logic would say you get only +3 bonus. But if your opponent gets two items -> claws and ring, his hero will be much stronger than yours while being the same level.

This will give him a big advantage which will be very hard to counter. A human player with advantage in items will be able to expand without being punished ever. It will break the balance of the multiplayer and this is why it has not been done this way.

When giving advice for a change you need to think what will happen if this change is implemented and then to weigh the different outcomes one vs the other.

Im sorry you think having 2 Gauntlets of strength is ImBaLaNcEd but the fact of the matter is you need to improve your game. If you actually believe that you need to change the mechanics of the game to win. Very scary to see what people are complaining about. i really hope blizzard has some real gosus in charge of what they look at…

This game will not have any future and no new players will come if it stays as it is. Only “veteran” players will continue playing it saying everything is OK. New players want up to date mechanics and interesting balance changes. I totally agree that item system should be reworked aswell (one helm, one boots, one armor, separate slots for potions etc).
Current game is good, but it’s good for 2002 year, not 2020. It’s like using windows xp nowadays. Yes, it was good, but today it’s not actual.

i am aware of this, that one hero will get only one bonus while the other 2 on EARLY stage, thing is this isnt such a big deal whereas having 2 rings same IS the real problem. The difference in strength u say in your example is very minor.
