Has anyone been able to get item hotkeys to work via the War3Preferences.txt?
yes but its not War3Preferences.txt file that you need to use but the “CustomKeys.txt” one in D:\Users\User\Documents\Warcraft III Beta folder, or at least that’s what worked for me.
Can you give an example for one of the item slots? I already have GRID hotkeys, just need to add item entries if it’s possible.
sadly no item binds, they weren’t possible even in classic, just numpad…

Where should you put AHK file in Reforged?
It was easy with txt, but I don’t understart what tot do with script that I made. Or AHK doesn’t work?
most people put it in same folder as customkeys, follow the instructions and make sure to create shortcut + run as admin
just try to read the guide very carefully, its all explained step by step
