The model presented in the gameplay trailer was perfect ! Full beard, ferocious look, everything ! The one in the game right now looks like someone with a really bad haircut ! Do you guys like it?
In the cinematic u saw uther.
In costum games or pvp ist the generic Paladin.
Still looks awful
Considering they care so much about the lore it makes absolutely zero sense why they’ve gave the paladin a buzz cut military style. Then again they gave us a female death knight so I got no idea what they’re doing and why.
All of it looks really bad though
No one will ever forces you to buy skins.
Stop being so dramatic.
In trailer it was Uther The Lightbringer, but yeah the generic paladin looks really bad, especially with Buzz cut. This is what happens when you outsource it.
It was reference to WoW human appearances.
That is Uther in the teaser. With that said.

This new announcement by Blizzard explicitly states that Undead Dreadlords will have most campaign skins available for you in multiplayer.
If the same trend holds, it could be that you can create Paladins with the good old Uther skin in multiplayer. We’ll have to wait for the announcement on that, of course. But it is likely
As far as I know you can use any campaign hero skin of the same type in pvp. It is however unclear whether you will have them available from the get go, or will you have to unlock them first. Anything more than that (and let’s be honest, that’s already quite a few skins) you will most likely have to buy - which is absolutely fine
In custom games you most likely won’t have any control over the skin selection, because that could easily ruin the map makers idea. (Even even if they do allow you to change your skins for the custom games, we will just run triggers that overwrite your choice anyways ^^’)
and let’s be honest, that’s already quite a few skins) you will most likely have to buy - which is absolutely fine
? how is that fine. You should be able to unlock it through achievements/online. Buying for skins is never acceptable, especially considering that’s all reforged is. There’s no new anything except the skins. Why would he have to pay for them ontop of buying the game. Why would you accept that.
Buying skins is one of the most commonly accepted and well regarded way of implementing micro transactions - this is a go to for absolutely any game that continues development of their product, have high maintenance costs, or host tournaments for every company that does not want to ruin their relationship with the player base. These are fully cosmetic items, you gain absolutely NOTHING nor lose anything, it’s your decision whether you want to support the company or want that particular skin - unless scummy business practices are used, there is nothing you can complain about - it’s your choice only.
The money has to come from somewhere, especially when it comes to E-sports. For example, after Starcraft 2 has finally introduced skins, the prize pools for high profile events skyrocketed so high, that winning a single WCS could have doubled your earnings over the last 5 years combined.
Similar systems are used to keep other high profile E-sports running, and a key reason in why the games are popular in the first place.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with adding paid cosmetics post release, or even on release provided by you are not forced to obtain them, and you know what you are buying at what price tag (and it’s reasonable, though this one is very much subjective).
while that is a very good argument it still doesn’t negate the fact that all reforged is, is a reskin. The game has been striving no thanks to blizzard for the past decade. There’s already a community and E-sports currently in place. Yes it could be better but considering blizzard all but abandoned wc3 it’s striving. With that in mind, expecting us to pay for more skins on our reskin game is despicable. There’s no other selling point for this game other then new models. Expecting more then the asking price for models is just predatory tactics. E-sports prizes will grow as the community grows. Being a sellout so a handful of people can win bigger prizes isn’t that intriguing to me either.
It’s good that blizzard is finally giving warcraft III attention. Except that they all but flat out admitted in the Blizzcon 2019 panel that the only reason Reforged is getting made is because they wanted to shut down bnet 1.0 servers but found out wc3 still has a strong community worth transitioning.
never seen a company FORCE you to buy anything.
The Paladin looks like an Italian guy with an 80s-style haircut lmao.
read again, there’s a reason why I wrote “”“”“”“”“”“forced”“”“”“”“”"
do you get it now? my child?
Paladin looks like J Jonah Jameson. But dont worry Blizzard is going to ‘fix’ this with buyable skins.
I don’t like that Stalin paladin, but Blizzard does. Maybe someday they will make a Hitler paladin too. lol
Hell no !!! Nor that black beard MK!
I think all of the other heroes look great, including the female variants of the Demon Hunter and Death Knight which feel very fresh and cool to me. The paladin’s model overall is excellent, but his haircut and portrait are ugly to me personally. I really hope other skins will be made available. I’m fine with it being an option for those who want it, but I’ll take a pass.
Touche. Let’s wait around and see how things go. I feel the optimal solution would be to allow most skins to be unlockable both through purchase and achievements, with a few to be obtainable only through very challenging campaign achievements. This can encourage new and old players alike to play the campaign.
If the dev team is as lacking in financial resources as it currently appears, however…i suppose a few purchase-only skins would be justifiable, so long as it’s not overdone
