Invisibility issue!

Some units and houses show up invisible and get stuck that way.
It messed up all custom maps

I’ve had the issue in Campaign as well…
Pre 2.0 it was fine up until about the 3rd or 4th mission of the Sentinel Campaign.
At that point 2.0 dropped and i started having this issue as well.
Don’t own Reforged so it’s not a a reforged alone issue

Just started doing that with me now, ping skyrocketing randomly again, very cool.

Don’t you just love when they break a version of the game that was running perfectly fine before hand…
They need to offer roll backs pre 2.0 and separate the damn clients…
WC3 and WC3R clients were combined for some dumb reason.

I’m playing the classic version, I don’t have Reforged and I have the same issue with some invisible units and mobs in campaign, it was manageable during the main campaign but in bonus “The Founding of Durotar” is worse, all the quest givers in Orgrimmar are invisible, most of the mobs on the map also are. I tried repairing and fully reinstalling the game, no change.

Because there is an error between the 2.0 new WE editor of Warcraft III (Classic HD/Reforged) 2.0 and the game, the read map parameter settings (modules and move special effects and sound effects of heroes/units/buildings) cannot be read and fail , causing them to become “transparent” or become other “incorrect other modules”…
And they can’t be selected and clicked to use.

The references of most old TFT custom maps in SLK/abilityData/Art - Portrait Model File/art model of the 2.0 map editor have invalid problems and errors!

It is also because of this that the modules and move special effects and sound effects of heroes/units/buildings that should be displayed when playing most old maps will be “invisible”,and they can’t be selected and clicked to use.

Then the invisible unit that “should be invisible” to detect the AMH map hacker appeared and was visible…

Blizzard has been unable to fix it. Almost most Custom map unit modules become transparent, and they can’t be selected and clicked to use.
This is so sad, almost all customized maps are unplayable…

This makes many players likely to play in the old 1.27~1.29c Warcraft 3 TFT private community (Hong Kong-Vlan).

Blizzard will take responsibility for messing up Warcraft 3 again!

This needs to get fixed fast. Custom maps are the main reason Warcraft 3 is still popular. Hell, DotA was born there!

I have the same issue on Mac client, newest 2.0 build. I’m playing classic campaign (not Reforged) with all presets to the maximum. For me on first mission load everything’s fine. However if I load a save, some units are invisible. You can only see a shadow underneath them.

So yeah, this affects RoC and TFT campaigns.

what exactly do you mean by “all presets to the maximum?”

All the graphics settings within Classic’s range

Can you name a particular level where you observed this behavior so I can try it?

Certainly! Culling of Stratholme. Mal’Ganis and most of his units were invisible throughout the map (not all). Now I’ve had it in Undead 3 (first Quel’Thalas map). Both on Hard difficulty. It’s never my units that are invisible

Just save game during the map and then play from loading the save

In general I’d say loading from save is broken. I remember that in the first mission with Thrall where he meets Medivh and has to go from beacon to beacon, upon loading from save beacons were half the normal size. Something’s very broken with save/load code

Yep been like this since 2.0 dropped…kinda sad. Not a single mention of Blizzard even saying they are aware and working on it…yet if you make a ticket they tell you to come here and post about it so it gets fixed…

The issue is still there, I just checked. Since Mac doesn’t support World Editor, and I’m only playing a bunch of custom maps, I guess I can’t really play the game anymore.

I’m having the same issue, units only appearing as shadows and no custom sprites loading at all. The only reason I redownloaded the game is gone unfortunately. Please revert to 1.0 until you are capable of making 2.0 work bliz, thanks.

There’s a line in the PTR patch notes that references invisible units. So hopefully it will fixed when it goes live.

Which line is that? I’m looking at the patch notes for 2.0.1 and I’m not finding it

Because I couldn’t load a previous save game I restarted the bonus campaign and everything was fine until I had to load the savegame. Some mobs and the quest givers are invisible again as before with the 2.0 patch.
