Hey I’m late to the party but I’m trying to download warcraft 3 and I can’t due to disk space – is there a quick fix? I’ve been playing wc3 just fine on my laptop with its current space for years

I don’t think there’s actually any quick fix to insufficient disk space, unless you have more than one local disk (e.g. Local disk C, D, E) on your computer which means that you can change the installation path for Warcraft 3 Reforged. The size of the current game is like 26.7 GB as compared to its original size (i.e. a few gigabyte) and this is regardless of whether you own classic or reforged.
You could also try deleting things you don’t need or use anymore in your local disk to make space but make sure that you don’t delete any essential system files…
