Improved reforged/Classic models as advertised?

Hey together,

it was a tough and exciting night. I saw a lot of good things, but there are also some things left, that confused me. Blizzard advertised new visuals for Reforged/Classic and presented Screenshots (which are posted on reddit and on the official WC3 Reforged page) that show a Warcraft Reforged in the visual tradition of the original classic - modernized, higher polygoncount, completley remade buildings and units, better colorsetup, more details…just like a HQ remaster of the old visuals.

I cannot find anything of this in the game.

  1. We got HD-Upscaled Classic visuals, without any changes to the models or textures.

  2. We got new enviromental textures/Trees for Reforged.

But there is something missing.

Nothing of this stuff has anything to do with the very catchy and convincing looking screenshots we all got presented by blizzard.

So - are they still in development, are they coming, the revised buildings / units?

Those screenshots were apparently concept art - painted over by artists to show what they were looking to do.

Some people say AI was used, others say it was actual artists. I personally couldn’t care either way, actual artists use AI as a tool to assist them anyway. Or at least, the good ones do, the bad ones use AI to generate the whole image and then pass it off as their own creation.
