what if pre-purchasers dont have the “not yet available” specs?
i am afraid of waiting one year(or even more), with still no beta access and a heavy final product not optimised for my pc ![]()
do your best blizzard dont let us behind
when the specs is knows, people can get what is required. i have tested it on multiple gpus however and it runs slowly on gtx 770m and crash at start when i try to run it on my asus laptop with windows 7 and gt 630m. it does not even start on my other windows 7 pc. seems that you need at least windows 8 to run it and something better than 770m.
idk, maybe that’s something they should have considered before pre-purchasing?
true
its our bad
Yeah. It’s a sad thing but it’s the reality of it.
Personally I learned my lesson from StarCraft. My rig can run Fortnite and Destiny 2 flawlessly but SC2 still gets FPS drops in the menus. It’s not okay that Blizzard RTS games are so poorly optimized but it’s something you always have to factor in
i have r9 m375 and rx 460
i still have i5 6300hq and i5 6400
i dont think they are so bad to play it, i can get lower settings, but dont want the classic graphics at all
i dont think only of my self but about others pcs too
Yes you said the right thing. Unoptimised, they can’t give you pc specs if their game is not even optimised.
You know, Reforged is announced to be comming out Sylvester this year or earlier?
Reforged requires little from a pc to run. Besides it’s a game that promise to run in 4k graphics. Low spec pcs really can’t expect to run it although low spec pcs are running beta already. There is when i think compatibility between classic and reforged is important. If you can’t run the reforged graphics, play with classic game against reforged players.
“gaming” laptop dude? for real?
I haven’t had a working computer in months and been saving for a new one. So close right now. Might as well since the old one wouldn’t have been able to play reforged anyways.
it can not be an old gaming laptop either. my 5 year old gaming laptop runs it slowly.
I got:
Windows 7
intel i5 3330
8 GB Ram
Radeon 7870 HD 2GB
It runs Starcraft 2 Ultra graphics just fine, so I assume(d) it will run WC3 reforged A-OK, but seeing some of the comments on this and my other thread, now I’m worried lul
And, I mean the whole point of a WC3 with new graphics is to use those graphics…but at the same time I can’t justify a new graphics card and processor just for a 15-year game’s graphics upgrade
Reforged can now support 4k Ray Tracing and 15 years upgrades from original. I think it’s time to full update your PC and Black Friday is in 2 weeks now.
not even a radeon hd 8330 can run starcraft 2 on ultra settings. i have tested it myself and the best it can handle is high.
The game is not optimized yet.
My GPU i5-4200U, pretty weeek. And it loads only to 45% when I’m playing.
GPU is hard to say, not optimized and loads to 99% for my Radeon HD 8670M, but it will be fixed, especially with API support.
that gpu is practically antique. it will likely never handle the game at maximum settings. i have a gtx 770m and it runs slowly even there. that is a newer gpu. that is a 5 year old pc however and not my newest pc. my newest pc have rtx 2080 ti but, even that is a year old.
Games should be playable for everyone. Its not easy to have a 400$ gpu. Its not a AAA title at all. I am not talking about old machines but it cant have high end requirements as a multyplayer top down game. You are all talking from a safe spot having the 400$ plus gpus but you have to care about the whole community not yourselves.
those with weak hardware still have the option of SD. they can play the game in the version it was first released, though patched to the latest version.
In worst case, you have to download the WC3 Classic and crossplay with it.
WC3 Classic is included in WC3 Reforged.
