There are skins for Jaina/Arthas/Malfurion/Thrall (or Furion, not sure which version), but these are all campaign units. Are these skin swaps only available in the campaign, or will they be available in melee as well?
Or are they reskins of melee hereos, so archmage becomes Jaina, Farseer becomes Thrall, Deathknight becomes Arthas, Keeper becomes Malfurion?
Will they work in custom maps, and if so how will they work? Will map makers be able to turn on a flag to allow the skins to be changed by a person?
I know in SC2 the warchest skins work in “melee” matches only and in custom games if units have been unaltered, as far as I know. Curious how it’ll work since they’re variations of non-typical units, or if they are variations of the melee heroes.

The skins are indeed for melee games, so you can replace your default paladin with Arthas or Uther, for example. I doubt that we will be able to change the hero skins in the campaign, as the heroes are kinda the whole point of the campaign. It wouldn’t make any sense to use Uther as a skin for Arthas and then have two Uthers talking to each other. Also the voice lines would be all messed up.
We don’t know how the skins will work in custom games. But I guess they could work pretty similarly to how they work in SC2 (haven’t played that game for a long time, so I don’t really know how they work there).
There is no Malfurion skin, it’s a Keeper of the Grove skin that’s made to look like Cenarius that has been corrupted by the Emerald Nightmare.
